1. What filmswim is

filmswim is a free, friendly prediction game. Players spend exactly 100 points on a slate of films releasing October 2 – December 31, 2026, and are scored on worldwide box office gross and IMDb rating. filmswim is played for fun only: no entry fee is charged, no prizes are awarded, and nothing of value is wagered or won. It is not gambling, a contest, or a sweepstakes, and no purchase is necessary to play.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to play. Sign-in is handled through Google; by signing in you agree to Google's terms as well. One entry per person. We may remove entries or accounts that abuse the game, use offensive player names, or attempt to manipulate scoring.

3. The game

  • The pool closes October 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Entries may be changed freely until then; after that they are locked.
  • Scores lock January 31, 2027 based on worldwide theatrical gross and IMDb rating as recorded at that time.
  • If a film leaves the release window, it is removed from the pool and its points are returned before closing.
  • We may correct scoring errors and update film data at any time. Final standings are at our discretion.

4. Your content

The only content you provide is a player name (handle) and your picks. You give us permission to display your handle and entry publicly on the standings. Don't use a handle that's offensive, misleading, or infringes someone else's rights.

© 2026 filmswim. The site's design, code, and original text are the property of filmswim and may not be copied or redistributed without permission. Film titles, studios, distributors, trailers, and IMDb ratings belong to their respective owners; they are referenced here for identification and commentary under fair use, and filmswim claims no ownership of or affiliation with them. Box office and rating data are gathered from public sources and may be approximate.

6. Privacy

We collect only what's needed to run the game: your Google account email and ID (for sign-in), your handle, and your picks. We don't sell or share your personal information, don't run ads, and don't track you across other sites. Email addresses are never shown publicly. You may ask us to delete your entry and account data at any time via filmswim.com.

7. No warranty & liability

filmswim is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will be available, error-free, or that scores will be perfectly accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, filmswim and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
